God said:

Everyone does not see eye to eye. Everyone sees through his or her own eyes. And very different things may be seen.

At the same time, everyone carries responsibility for what he sees and how he is seen.

There are understandings and misunderstandings. Everyone intends well. Everyone thinks what he is doing is right or called-for. And no one wants to be interfered with.

A teacher at school may adore a certain naughty student, let's say, and, yet, if that student makes a certain kind of smart remark, and the teacher says nothing, other students will take that as a go-ahead to make their own smart remarks. The teacher has a responsibility that the students do not at first have.

No one I know likes to be corrected, rightly or wrongly. Every one of My children desires freedom, and many do not know the difference between freedom and license. Is license the right word? Everyone is free to say what he likes at the same time you had better know where and when. Here, but not there. There, but not here. License would say that you can say anything you want anywhere any time. One who takes license may not know the difference between a tea party and a camp-out. Words may be appropriate in one context and not in another.

One who objects to being corrected may also be adamant about correcting another.

A lot does come down to responsibility. Of course, it is best to be responsible for yourself. A responsible person knows when and where and how. A responsible person has the freedom to know when and where to keep thoughts to himself.

Everyone makes mistakes. Schoolchildren make mistakes. Teachers make mistakes. School administration makes mistakes. Unlikely is there perfect agreement. Perhaps in theory, yet not in practice.

Let Us forgive others their mistakes, and let Us forgive ourselves for our own mistakes. Let Us even forgive ourselves for judging others. Let Us let go of the past. How many times have I said that? And how many have listened and followed that? Certainly, everyone has tried.

I tell you that you are perfect. Only in the world are you imperfect. Concede to this, and you won't be dismayed so when someone disagrees with you.

Take it easy when you correct another, and take it easy when you are corrected. Grant yourself some leeway, and grant leeway to others as well.

We come back to again and again that there are no others. It is yourself you defend from yourself. It is yourself you approach. It is yourself you favor or disfavor. There is such a thing as how you conduct yourself. Manners in one country may be opposite to manners in another, and this is true for individuals as well. In one house, life is conducted a certain way. In another house, life is conducted in a different way.

There is room for all, and differences, when seen from a longer view, matter not at all.

In all cases, be kind. Be kind as you can be. And remember to be kind to yourself.

Everyone in the world is scrambling to stay afloat. Help others, and help yourself. The best way to stay afloat in the ocean is to lie back and relax. Is that not so? In life, then, lean back and don't make so much of what goes on. Tomorrow something else will go on. There is nothing to get into a fuss over, is there, is there really?

God said:

Are you feeling subdued today?

That is fine. You don't have to be elated every day. Your happiness does not always have to be escalated. If it were, you would be at a pitch of excitement that you could not endure. The relative world cannot sustain you. Nothing in the relative can sustain you for long.

Enter that quiet stream within you. It sustains you no matter what the surface is up to. It is nice here. It always is. There is a Do Not Disturb sign here that keeps noise away.

The underlying Silence of Heaven buoys you. It is as if you cannot hear the roaring of the waves. You are in a deeper place where your heart can rest. Rather than riding the furrows of the waves, you are buoyed by the depth of the waters. You are deep into the majesty of life whether it is on Earth or in Heaven. Actually, it is always Heaven. In Truth, you have chosen the armoire of Heaven over the soapbox of Earth.

Heaven is not an escape. It is your very foundation. In Heaven, you do not flounder. Heaven is your very substance. Heaven is not frivolous. It is not a departure from life. It is not a detour. It is your very sustenance. It is Reality.

It is the world that is an outing. It is a field trip. It is an exploration. It is imagined.

Heaven is real. It is where you are from. It is where I abide, and where you abide with Me. Heaven goes with you. You take it with you. Heaven is always here for you, right at your fingertips, as it were, right at your toes, right where your feet may be. No matter where you are in space and time, you are infinitely in Heaven with Me.

Wherever I am is Heaven, and you are with Me.

If you consciously want entry into Heaven, there are no doormen, no bodyguards. There really is no one who checks your entry. How could there be because you never left. But, let Us say that there is a doorman and he asks you for your identification. Then I, God, say to the doorman: "She is with Me. He is with Me. I vouch for them." Do you think I would do less?

If you are seeking love, I am It. Heaven is the gas station where you fill up on love. You are never disconnected from the pump. You are always in My heart. If you think otherwise, it is because you have been too busy running off here and there, so busy skipping across the surface of life.

Consider Me a place to go to where you meet yourself and bless the world.

Come find Me and bless the world today. Take a break from furor and enter Silence and Peace with Me. Enter consciously. We are in an eternal embrace, and I never let you go. Of course, you never want to leave. You cannot. The Power of Love is too great.

And yet you imagine that you run off and play on Earth. You play with a frenzy. You often call it work rather than play. No doubt you take it seriously. Take Heaven seriously. To take Heaven seriously means to have the time of your life. It is the best time. It is where happiness lies without departure. There is no fallibility. There is no stepping down from or going off the height of Heaven. Here We are, for you and I are One. Not just sometimes. Always. Infinitely. Eternally. This is the Truth.

From the corridors of your heart, love engages. Love flows beautifully, naturally, and only starts and stops when there is blockage to it. What can a blockage be? What can interrupt love other than an interference from the mind?

Love is not meant to be like putting your finger on a hot stove. You are not meant to hurt yourself when you give love. Your love unrequited is not to be interpreted as a reprimand to your love. You misunderstood what happened. You told yourself an incorrect story. You told yourself to be careful when you discovered that your love is not always valued. You bought that story very quickly. You didn't even have to know words in order to grasp that story. "Be careful with love," was what you adopted. "Watch out to whom and where and when you give love from your heart."

You took love as a personal thing. You took someone else's ability or inability to give out love at a particular time and place as an affront to you. Personal love is one thing. Love is another.

A young child has a teddy bear. That one teddy bear is his. He loves that teddy bear. He has to have that teddy bear. No other will do.

Is this not how personal love is in the world? No other love will do but the one you took as your own and nobody else's. When someone has not focused his or her love on you, be it mother or father, sister or brother, playmate and so on, you have drawn back your love, frozen it somewhat, ordered your love to turn itself into disappointment or a demerit on you. You tend to confuse your love with someone else's.

You can send out love that is not personal. You can send out love from afar. You won't snuggle up to someone who may not want to snuggle up with you, yet there is far more to love than physical presence. Your love depends on you and not on anyone else.

I am not suggesting that you carry a torch for someone who doesn't want your torch of love. I am suggesting that you not turn the object of your once-held love into resentment or disagreeableness. Love alights where it alights and, sometimes, even in the sunlight of your love, another's love has flown. Still, stay in love, not in a stranglehold of love, but love like a nice star in the sky. Send love. Truly, what else is there to send? Just your love. Not professions of your love but love itself, love that naturally is in your heart to give when you do not claim ownership.

Sometimes when what you determine as a full share of love due you is not given to you, you become angry or even vengeful. Love does not make demands. You say you love, and yet you stamp your foot when your picture of personal love does not become true or stay true. Take your foot off the pedal, beloveds. Be easy with love. Let another's affection for you be or not be. What is is. You cannot whip into existence what is not.

Let your hold on love go. You do not grab love by the ankles and try to keep it to you no matter what. Love is given. It cannot be owed to you. What you have to do is to give love out. Another's love is not a heifer you rope in.

In the world, everyone wants a special love. Everyone wants to be a special love. Everyone wants to mean something to someone or everyone. Beloveds, intend to be love and not ache. Be willing to love and be willing to let go. Love and release. Love and release. If you want to hold on to a love, you have to let it go.

You can stop repeating patterns now. Keep your patterns of love. Patterns of turmoil, leave behind.

You would not wear the same dress year after year after year. You wouldn't wear the same dress your whole lifetime. And, yet, you may carry old patterns of living, and, still, be surprised at the turn your life has taken this time as if you were a bystander in life.

No matter how uncomfortable you may be with how life seems to have treated you, life has been at your bidding. I am talking patterns. I am saying to pay attention. Pay attention to choices you make. If you tend to run headlong into repeated circumstances, slow down. If you tend to leave yourself out and wait and wait, shake yourself up a little bit. You are not an outsider to your own life. This is your life on Earth We are talking about.

If you feel often taken advantage of, that may be a pattern you solicit. Do not acquiesce to patterns that are not uplifting. Uplift yourself. There is something in you that can agreeably change.

You don't have to yell nor do you have to be the one yelled at. You don't have to be dominant nor do you have to be submissive. There is no role in life that you have to bow down to.

If you are tall or short, what can you do? Yet, in many matters, what can be changed is, by and large, up to you, up to your thinking, up to the way you look at yourself and the way you look at the world at large and the world of your home and work, the world of your own existence.

What would it take for your life to be more of what you want it to be? I would like you to just hold this idea in your mind. I am not suggesting that you work hard at changing your view of things. I suggest that you be aware. If something is holding you back, it has to be you who holds yourself back. Obstacles lie within you, dear ones.

It behooves you to consider yourself responsible for your life and not hold others responsible for your life. Take responsibility for your own happiness. No one else can carry his or her own life and carry yours too.

Life has been offered to you. You have made many choices. You are free to choose now.

We are not talking here of working from the outside. We are talking of opening something within yourself, knowing yourself as capable of change. Begin with yourself. Change lies within you. You are capable of it. See life differently, and your life will change.

If you want to laugh more, you will begin to see reasons to laugh more. No one can see for you or laugh for you.

Across the board, I say to everyone: Love yourself more. Love yourself as I do love you. The whole world starts with you. People will come and go in your life on Earth, but you are here at this moment. Make it a moment of love. This one idea alone will move mountains.

Encourage yourself. Pat yourself on the back. Pat yourself on the back extensively. Even if you flunked a test, beloveds, you took it. Help yourself to feel good, not bad. You are seeking your own direction to go in, and you will find it. Be a harbinger of light. Lighten yourself. Because of your growing happiness, the world's happiness will grow. You are the initiator. You are the instigator. You are the institutor of a New World.
